We are privileged to be able to offer regular specialist classes daily at RUES. We have PE twice a week, as well as Library, Music, Social Skills lessons, and Art once a week.
Welcome to the RUES library!
The library at RUES uses the Destiny/Quest circulation program. Students can access the catalog from home using their assigned log-in and password. There are many great web links on the Destiny home page.
Throughout the year, 4th and 5th graders are introduced to a variety of literary genres and important authors during their weekly scheduled library time. Research skills and library skills lessons are an imperative part of our library program, preparing them for middle school.
To access helpful research skills files and to read about the latest lessons and readings, visit the next page, “What’s the latest at the library?” by clicking on the link below.

The RUES library has been renovated and is located in the middle of the building. Character Strong and Library share this space.
The library collection contains a wide selection of Fiction, Non-Fiction, Easy, and Spanish books. It is always growing and changing to meet the needs of our students and the curriculum standards. Students at RUES and DES have the opportunity to request books from either school’s library, which affords students at both schools a larger collection to select from.
Go to Destiny Library Search and:
- select RESOURCE LISTS
- select the PUBLIC LISTS tab
- choose the E BOOKS list
- click on the OPEN button to the right of a title
Physical Education at RUES
Move More! Be ready for Anything! Welcome to PE with Mr. Starkey! In addition to our school-wide rules of Respectful, Responsible, and Ready, we have the 3″P’s for Physical Education. These stand for Play Hard, Play Fair, Play Safe All our RUES students know what these short phrases mean, and they contribute to successful gym classes. PE shoes are required for all our PE classes. If you do not have appropriate athletic shoes, a pair will be provided a loaner pair if we have your size. The better our students listen to directions for the activities, the safer they compete with one another, and find success at what they do in class! You might say PE works this way for gym classes: “The more we ask from ourselves, the more we get” What we expect TETON Valley athletes to be are dedicated, well rounded, student athletes . Emphasis is on sportsmanship, agility, quickness, power, flexibility, personal fitness, and well being. Appropriate Physical activity paired with a healthy diet should be responsible to promote a healthy active lifestyle for years and years. Fun should always be the foundation to athletic contests and competitions. ” If you aren’t having fun then you are too serious about what you are doing, and then it isn’t fun. So why not get back to the fun?” Things you can do at home to become a better athlete: “Practice with focus to improve” throw to self, juggle, balance, catch/throw cards, jump rope, agility training/cones, sit ups/ pushups, crunches, stretch Drink right, Snack smart, Move more You can contact me by calling the school and reaching extension 7029 or e-mail me [email protected] |
